Daniel Vernall Guitar Teacher and my wife

About Me

Guitar

I have been playing guitar since I was 12 years old, when I got my first Stratocaster style guitar, starting to learn to play utilising books and online resources. In school I started receiving guitar lessons and I chose to take these privately outside of school, as I found that a teacher's guidance added drive, direction and enjoyment to my learning experience.
The private tuition I have received is by a number of guitar tutors including, notably, Richard Batty who himself received musical training from the composer Lliffon Hughes-Jones and Professor Raymond Banning among others.
Performance experience includes playing in bands at weddings (including my own!), aswell as other private and public functions.

I have experience in teaching guitar to children with learning and behavioral difficulties of varying severity, for Marshfields Community Special School in Peterborough. Each of the students learning at Marshfields School has a Statement of Special Educational Need, primarily for moderate learning difficulties.

Rockschool Teacher Registry: Registered tutor for guitar

I've acheived Grade 8 in acoustic guitar with the Registry of Guitar Tutors and Grade 8 in electric guitar through RockSchool. I am currently gathering increased private teaching experience for use in a fully recognised Teaching Diploma in guitar for added peace of mind for my students.

Non-Guitar

As one of Jehovah's Witnesses: I'm an honest, hardworking and enthusiastic person, with a clean criminal record (even a completely clean driver's license!).

Me and my wife Rachel live in rural Surfleet-Seas-End, just outside of Spalding Lincs., and have a cavachon dog called Teddy.
We share a house with Rachel's family as she's disabled and needs help whilst I'm working.

Aswell as guitar, I love singing and composition.

When not playing music, I enjoy DIY and designing board games and computer games.
